Spring Trends 2011 Glamour Guide

Hey everyone! I'm going to do a post on my favorite Spring trends for 2011.  Keep in mind that you don't have to follow them exactly.  Mix them up, make them your own, and most importantly have fun with it!  Hope you like it.

Romantic Lace Dress $17.80

This dress is the perfect piece for your spring wardrobe.  Lace is the number one trend for this upcoming season.  The best thing is that you can work this piece so many ways!  To keep it nice and light wear a neutral colored belt and sandals with it.  If it gets chilly you can pair a bright colored cardigan with it.  To toughen the look up, wear a pair of brown slouchy boots with it and your hair in a side braid.

Crown Jewels Stretch Bracelet $10.80

I love this little jewel bracelet!  You can wear this with so many things.  Since it's so versatile, you can wear this with the lace dress and a jewel colored cardigan.  Think fuchsia, purple, or light blue for the cardigan.  This bracelet would look amazing with a little black dress for a girl's night out.

Braided Rope Belt $4.80

First, the skinny belt is seen everywhere right now.  It can be worn with anything and everything. The braided belt has been a signature style piece since our parents were changing our diapers!  Forever21’s updated skinny version is perfect for pairing it with loose or form-fitting dresses, flowy tops, or even around your hips with jean shorts!  And second, the braid goes along with the nautical trends for spring.  Am I the only one who thinks this looks kind of like rope?

Over the Shoulder Bag $22.80

Say au revoir to the big hobo bags of last season and bonjour to the smaller shoulder bags of 2011!  Not only is the smaller size on trend, so is the muted blue color of the bag.  Muted and neutral colors are apart of the minimalist trend.  To pull off this look pair this bag with a pretty tank top and a flowy, floral skirt for the perfect everyday look.  Keep the accessories minimal. Hence, the minimalist trend.

Wild Daisy Bead Ring $4.80

This pretty little thing is the perfect jewelry accent for your spring wardrobe.  I can tell you now that flower rings are going to be big this season.  You can make this item work with anything.  I would wear this ring with an ivory racer-back tank, skinny jeans, and long, layered gold necklaces.

Framed Pendant Necklace $6.80

This simple coral necklace will add color to any outfit.  It screams spring with it's coral colored stone and patterned gold chain.  Layer this over a white slouchy t-shirt and some jean cutoff shorts and you have the cutest look!

Tribal Inspiration Heels $25.80

Make a bold fashion statement with these shoes!  These tribal inspired leatherette shoes that feature an open toe, braided rope, and leatherette T-strap are going to be the it shoe of the spring.  These wooden heels would be killer with a pair of cropped pants and a sheer layered tank. Not only are these shoes totally on-trend, they are sure to be super comfy too!

Button Shoulder Nautical Top $13.80

Seaside chic, this relaxed fit nautical top is totally in for spring right now.  I like how this top looks so comfy!  You can wear this top with practically any bottom and jewelry combination.  Wear this with light washed jeans and some braided rope sandals.  Or to make it more polished wear with white, high-waisted shorts and some nude heels.

Floral Crochet Sweater Top $24.80

Formally the so-called grandma fabric has now taken a chic spin and has shed its matronly image.  Soft romantic fabrics like lace and crochet are spring's it fabrics.  You can wear this top with skinny jeans or shorts paired with some gold bangles.  To dress it up, wear it with a black pencil skirt and some black pumps.

All of these items and images featured are from Forever21.  I hope you guys liked the new post and remember, mix them up and have fun with it.  Fashion is about expressing yourself and wearing what you want to.  Any other tips or trends? Let me know in the comments below!

XOXO,
Katey
