In's and Out's 2

Hey everyone!  I decided that it was time for a new In's and Out's post. Hope you like it. :)

In:

Thunderstorms:  I know I sound crazy but with all the snow my town has had since December, it's refreshing to have just a normal thunderstorm.  It's so relaxing to listen to the pouring rain and thunder when your going to sleep.  I love it!

L'oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub :  This stuff is amazing!  I've been using it for two weeks and I can totally see a difference.  I have a lot of acne scars on my face and they have literally disappeared along with my active breakouts.  I use it about once every two days.  As time goes on I'm going to limit it to about once every two weeks so my skin doesn't grow immune to it.

M-A-C All That Glitters Eye Shadow:  I've heard good things about M-A-C Cosmetics for a while now and I've never really had enough money to get a product from them (their eye shadows are $14.50).  Well, I finally saved up enough money to get a color that I had to have.  It was the All That Glitters eye shadow.  The color is so pretty.  It's the perfect starter color if you are just getting into makeup and it's subtle enough to wear as an everyday eye shadow.  The pigmentation and texture is amazing!

Zaihar Choreography:  I'm really into dancing of all kind.  I will usually spend hours looking at different dance videos on YouTube.  I'm weird, I know. Haha!  I've really been liking this guy's choreography. His name is Zaihar and you can check out one of my favorite dances by him below.  He's the dude in the front:

Out:

School Projects:  I'm really getting tired of doing projects for every class.  I'd much rather just write a paper or take a test and be done with it.  I mean, I've had 4 projects to do just this week.  See what I mean?

Bulky Sweaters:  Spring is upon us!  We need to get rid of the big bulky sweaters and trade them in for ultra light cardigans and tees.  You could pair a floral, loose fitting skirt with a tank and a cardigan and be ready to go!

Revlon PhotoReady Compact Makeup:  I tried this product about a month ago and raved and raved about it.  That was only like the first week though.  The more I used it, the more I hated it.  It dried my skin out big time and made me look like I was attacked by a mob of orange markers.  I was even using one of their lighter shades.  I really didn't like it.  I haven't tried the liquid foundation yet, but it might work better since it isn't in a mousse form.

Thanks for reading my new post!  I'll talk to you guys soon!

Make your own lipstick!!

Hey guys!  I've been into creating your own beauty products and scrubs lately.  I came across a way to make your own lipstick.  It's genius!

What you'll need:

  • Vaseline
  • Eyeshadow or pigment
  • Plate
  • Spoon
  • Contact case

You just take enough Vaseline to fill up the contact case and scoop it out on to the plate.  You then take your eyeshadow and scrape it on top of the Vaseline.  I used a pressed nude pink eyeshadow, but a pigment would be easier to use since it's already in loose powder form.  After you put the eyeshadow on the Vaseline, you mix it all up with a spoon and tada!  You have your own lipstick!  You just scoop it all up and put it in the contact case to store it in.  The good thing about this homemade lipstick is that the Vaseline moisturizes your lips.  You can use it plainly as a regular chap stick, too if you didn't want any color.  You can also use the Vaseline to prevent blisters when you wear uncomfortable shoes.  The Vaseline works as a barrier to prevent your shoes from rubbing blisters on your feet.  It won't ruin your shoes either.

Anyways, I hope you liked my post!  Just let me know about any other posts you want me to do.  I'll talk to you guys later. Bye!

Products I'm Loving!

Hey guys!  I'm so ready to post again and I decided it to do it on some products that I have literally fallen in love with.  Since I have been having trouble with my skin lately, mainly it being too dry, I decided to test out new products.  The first thing I tried was the Revlon PhotoReady Compact Makeup.  I liked it at first, but the more I used it, the less I liked it.  It's a mousse foundation that's suppose to turn in to liquid when it touches your skin and have a powder finish.  It really dried my skin out, made me breakout, and turned me orange.  I looked like I had been attacked by a mob of orange markers. Haha!  So I was at Wal-Mart and decided to find something that could help moisturize my skin and look natural.

First up is the Almay Smart Shade Smart Balance liquid foundation.  It's so cool!  It starts out white with little black beads in it.  You use your fingertips to apply it and blend it in to your skin.  It automatically blends in with your skin and makes your skin look flawless!  Here's what it looks like:

Next is the Almay Smart Shade Smart Balance Powder.  It transforms in to your ideal shade just like the foundation.  Dry skin stays softly hydrated and oily skin stays shine-free.  I really like the packaging too!

The last thing is the Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Concealer by Physicians Formula.  It comes with 3 different concealers.  A green one, skin colored one, and a pink one.  The green one conceals redness, the skin colored one conceals blemishes, and the pink one works as a highlighter.  They really erase everything that's on your face! And look at the packaging!

I hope you liked it and let me know what your loving right now!

Katey

Quick Update!

Hey guys!  So sorry I haven't been posting!  My computer died, well crashed.  So we had to get a new one and we waited maybe a week and a half to get it and all the data transferred to the new one from the old one.  I will hopefully post tomorrow on my new Sony Vaio. :)

Let me know what you guys have been up to in the comments below!
