How to Get Rid of Dark Under Eye Circles Like a Pro!

We all have them.  Those pesky dark under eye circles that we just can't seem to get rid of.  We all try to cover them up with our foundations, concealers, and powders, but they just won't seem to go away.  As you sleep, circulation slows down and causes fluid to collect under your eye. Dark circles and puffiness appear.  I have a couple of little tips to help you cover them up and get rid of them.  The first one is called the Garnier Nutritioniste Anti-Puff Eye Roller.  This little tool gently rolls away dark circles and puffiness. It stimulates circulation around your eye area to loosen up excess fluid to get rid of dark circles and puffiness.  You just roll it back and forth one or two times under your eye from the inner corner to the outer corner.  You can even keep this in your purse and use it at other times during the day.  It's a miracle worker!

My other tip is to use orange concealer. Yes, you heard me right. Orange concealer.  Dark circles are usually blue and purple. When you look at the color wheel, across from blue and purple is orange.  The orange concealer cancels out the blue and purple causing you to have a neutral shade right there where the dark circles were.  After using the orange concealer use a skin toned concealer to finish the process and set with a translucent powder.  Another concealer tip is to use green concealer to cover up red blemishes and red areas.  It's the same as the orange and blue. The green cancels out the red.  Finish with the same steps like the other concealer.  A good product is the NYX concealer jars in orange for the dark circles and green for the blemishes.  If you don't want to spend money on new concealers you can use my trick that I do when I run out of concealer.  Use an orange eyeshadow and dot it lightly over the dark circles and then cover it up with the skin toned concealer or foundation and set with the translucent powder to finish. Same goes with the blemishes.  You'll get the same results. I promise!

I hope this helps!  If you guys have any beauty problems that you want me to try to find a solution for comment below and let me know!  Toodles!

Gotta Have Her Style!- Demi Lovato

I love Demi Lovato's style!  It's always put together, but in a casual way.  I love everything about this look from the trendy oversize tee to the black leather platform heels. She's got it covered! Demi knows how to put an outfit together.    Down below are some similar pieces to her look.  All are from Forever 21.

$9.80

$17.80

$25.80

I love how she matched her bag to her shoes on this one and added the bright red stripped top to an all black outfit.  The belt cinches her waist showing off the smallest part of her body and adding to her curves. Normally she would opt for all black, but this is a nice change.

Forever 21, $4.50
Forever 21, $5.80

Two Steves in a Pod- Seasons

Ok, so I came across another song that I love.  It's totally different than the one I posted before.  It's called Seasons and is written and sung by Steven Scarola and Stephen Federowicz.  The song makes you feel so calm and for me, happy.  It puts me in a better mood whenever I listen to it.  I just discovered it last night though. Hahaha :)  I hope you like it even though it is a little eccentric. Enjoy!

Trend I Love: Fair Isle Sweaters

Is it just me or do these sweaters just scream cozy?  I love big oversize sweaters and cardigans.  This type of sweater is perfect for winter seasons.  It's cute, comfy, and warm.  Stars like Rihanna and Leona Lewis have been spotted wearing the new trend.  You can dress it down by wearing the sweaters with leggings.  You can even dress these up by wearing them with a mini skirt or pencil skirt with tights and heels.  The great thing about the Fair Isle sweaters is that they are figure-forgiving and won't show every bump, lump, and bulge.  Down below are some pictures and prices of different ones I love.  Enjoy!

In's and Out's 1

In:

New Year's Resolutions:  I've never really been into doing resolutions at all. To be honest I kind of thought that they were lame.  Even when I would try to come up with one, I wouldn't stick to it. So this year I felt like it was my year to stick with it.  My New Year's resolution is probably the same as everyone else, to get healthy and exercise more.  So far I've stuck to my plan. Well, as close as possible. I'm sitting here typing this while eating chips and dip. Oopsie!

Maybelline Falsies Mascara:  This stuff is a miracle worker!  I'm not even joking.  My eyelashes are light and short, but now they almost touch my eyebrows.  I think the miracle is in the brush.  It's curved to make a spoon shape.  You put it at the bases of your lashes and wiggle as you go up.  I only use 2 coats.  I remember in 7th grade when my best friend made fun of me for not having long lashes.  This stuff makes it look like you're wearing false eyelashes.  That's why it's called the Falsies.  I <3 it.

Cardigans and Pullover Hoodies:  I'm really not a coat kind of gal so cardigans and pullover hoodies take there place.  I have like 10 cardigans that I switch in and out with different tanks, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, etc.  I only have one pullover hoodie but I love it.  It's from Forever 21 and looks like this:

Scratch by BG5:  I love this song!  It's by the Beach Girl5 (BG5) and it's like a fun, club, party song.  I have it on repeat along with all of their other songs.  If you watch Keeping up with the Kardashians you would recognize them.

Out:

Snow Days:  I live in the south and we've already had like 8 snow days.  I really don't want to be in school until July.  They're even calling for more snow Monday and Tuesday. Ugh!

Shearling Coats:  I know a lot of celebrities are wearing them like Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Anne Hathaway, and Ciara, but I think that they are just ugly and need to go. Now.

Wrong Color Foundation:  Seriously people, it's not that hard to find your perfect shade.  If you go up to a makeup counter at Belk's or other places like that, they will match you with your perfect shade and give you suggestions of what to look for. I love Ulta's Fabulous Face Natural Finish Foundation in Creamy Natural.  It makes it feel like you're not even wearing any and gives you full coverage.

Hello Blogging World!

Hey everyone! I'm Katey and this is my very first post on my very first blog. Yay! This blog will focus on fashion, beauty, and music. I think I will be posting at least once a week.   I decided to start this blog to blab about all of my favorite things.  This will be a great place to do my favorite outfits of the week or reviews on products that I think are fantastic or just absolutely horrible.  I might even do some quirky posts on things that have nothing to do with fashion, beauty, or music, and everything to do with me!

Anyways, comment below and let me know what you want me to blog about or if you want me to do any fun tags going around. Toodles!

XOXO,
Katey
